On August 15, 2024, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, through its Student Development Division and the Scholarship Department, held the Scholarship Award Ceremony for the academic year 2024. The event took place at the auditorium on the 4th floor of the Suan Sunandha Health and Sports Center Building at Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, Bangkok. The ceremony was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Chutikarn Sriviboon, the university president, who received scholarships from donors to award to students with strong academic performance, good conduct, and a commitment to learning but who lack financial resources. These scholarships aim to provide students the opportunity to pursue their studies, which aligns with the university’s policy of producing quality graduates.
The scholarship awards have been made possible thanks to the generous contributions and support from various donors, including individuals, former administrators, faculty members, and both public and private organizations. These efforts are intended to support students who excel academically but lack financial means to continue their education. In this year's ceremony, a total of 120 students received scholarships, including 3 elementary students, 3 secondary students, and 114 undergraduate students, amounting to a total of 600,000 baht. Additionally, donors contributed an extra 930,000 baht, bringing the total scholarship fund to 1,200,000 baht.
This initiative aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4: to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.
