The research team and students from Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University have earned a reputation and won a silver medal for their project 'BomB Kamikaze's Mamuang Haaw Manao Ho Probiotics'.
The researchers and students from the Faculty of Science and Technology, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, including Assistant Professor Dr. Wanna Wanna Wasawat, Assistant Professor Dr. Watanee Plant, Assistant Professor Dr. Kanchna Sittilert, Mr. Pokhin Tawornthanakit, and Miss Naphat Piyasart, have been awarded a silver medal and a Special Award (from INNOPA) for their project 'Probio KaranDa Gummy Bomb' in the '2023 Japan Design, Idea and Invention Expo (JDIE 2023)' held in Tokyo, Japan on July 8, 2023.
The research team stated, 'The project titled 'Probio KaranDa Gummy Bomb' features a concentrated mixture of mango and lime gummy jelly fortified with probiotics. The gummies are naturally gelatinous, containing anthocyanin, vitamin C, vitamin B, citric acid, fructose, and glucose from mango and lime. They use low glycemic index (GI) syrup, are free from artificial coloring and flavors, and provide a refreshing sensation upon consumption. These gummies aid in digestion and immunity support. People with health concerns can also consume them as they use low GI syrup, approximately 30, based on our department's research findings. Therefore, individuals with diabetes can also enjoy them. This not only offers children a snack option throughout the day without concerns of harm, but also allows individuals with health issues to partake.'
This achievement is considered a cornerstone for ensuring well-being and promoting a good quality of life for everyone in all age groups. It holds significant importance for a country's development and elevating the living standards of its people, aligning with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 3 - 'Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages,' which focuses on establishing the foundation for a better quality of life.
