From the Royal Palace to Local Communities! SSRU Invites the Public to Preserve Nakhon Pathom’s Culinary Heritage through “Krua Padiwaradda: Naraphirom – The Charm of Thai Flavors”

The Office of Arts and Culture, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University, is preparing to organize the project “Krua Padiwaradda: Naraphirom – The Charm of Thai Flavors, From the Royal Palace to Local Communities” in collaboration with Ban Wat Makluea Community, Phutthamonthon District, Nakhon Pathom Province.

The project aims to promote Thai food culture and cultural wisdom through the presentation of renowned local ingredients from Nakhon Pathom. The concept of “Krua Padiwaradda” represents a harmonious blend of valuable local wisdom and the refined culinary traditions of the royal court.

The event will be divided into two main phases:

1. Exhibition and Academic Forum in Collaboration with Thai PBS

June 20–21, 2026
Wat Makluea, Phutthamonthon District, Nakhon Pathom Province

Activities will include exhibitions, academic discussions, culinary demonstrations, and a signature recipe competition. These activities aim to promote and develop Nakhon Pathom’s local cuisine, increasing public awareness and recognition of the province’s distinctive food heritage.

2. Krua Padiwaradda X Talayjai Dining Chef’s Table

July 9–10, 2026
Starting at 6:00 PM
Talayjai Dining, Bangna (The Glass Market Project)

A highlight of the project will be an exclusive Chef’s Table experience featuring specially curated menus created by renowned chef Jamesmy James (Theeradon Suphaphanphinyo). Guests will enjoy a unique dining experience that showcases the fusion of royal Thai cuisine and local culinary traditions, accompanied by special guest participants.
