Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Suan Sunandha Rajabhat University Invites You to Explore a New Definition of “Sea Salt”: When the Body Moves in Rhythm with a Breathing Sculpture
Experience “Kluea Samut: Live Arts and Performance” at The Jim Thompson Art Center.
If salt is a crystallization of time gifted by nature, then “Kluea Samut: Live Arts and Performance” is an artistic fusion of those crystals with breath, movement, and the human body.
On June 6–7, 2026, The Jim Thompson Art Center will become a dynamic meeting ground between Installation Art and Performing Arts, inviting audiences to reflect on the fragile yet powerful relationship between humanity and the traditional salt-farming way of life.
At the heart of this presentation is the creation of a “Living Sculpture,” a work that dissolves the boundaries between visual arts and performance. The project brings together the creative forces of three distinguished artists:
• Wonsak Phadungsedthakit (Creative Director)
Guides audiences through the cultural ecology of the salt farms in Samut Songkhram Province through the lens of contemporary art, revealing how cycles are not only natural phenomena but also reflections of spirituality, resilience, and survival.

• Teerapol Sisang (Sculptor & Installation Artist)
Explores the relationship between people and salt through intricately woven metal-wire sculptures. His works serve as physical structures of an ecosystem awaiting activation and completion.

• Kawin Pichitkul (Choreographer & Performer)
Transforms space into movement inspired by the connections between people, nature, salt farming, and science. Here, the body is not merely a performer but an integral part of a constantly evolving sculpture.
