BANGKOK – On December 23, 2025, third-year students from the Social Studies Program enrolled in the course SOI 3302: Local History participated in an academic field trip to the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Anthropology Centre (Public Organization). The visit was supervised by Dr. Lallana Wongprasert, a lecturer in the Social Studies Program.
The primary objective of this excursion was to provide students with a deep understanding of the concepts and processes involved in local history study. The learning focused on utilizing the "7 Tools" for community study to investigate, analyze, interpret, and manage historical and cultural evidence within community contexts. The scope of study included archaeological findings, documentation, archives, local wisdom, and cultural landscapes.
Furthermore, this initiative aimed to raise awareness regarding the value and diversity of local heritage while enhancing the professional competencies of future social studies teachers, specifically in the systematic design of local history learning experiences.
